CertEngine (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides certificate generation and delivery for AIA continuing education. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our website and services at certengine.app and related properties.

• Account information. Name and email address collected when you create an account, including through our authentication provider, Clerk.
• Usage data. Information about your use of the service, such as sessions and the number of certificates generated.
• Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. CertEngine does not store your full payment card details on our servers.
• Certificate recipient data. Names, email addresses, and AIA membership numbers that you provide via CSV uploads or similar inputs for certificate generation and delivery.

How We Use Your Information

• To generate and deliver AIA certificates to recipients.
• To process payments for your use of the service.
• To improve the service, including features and reliability.
• To send transactional emails (for example, receipts, delivery notices, and account-related messages).

Data Retention

• Account data is retained while your account remains active.
• Certificate-related data is retained for two (2) years unless a longer period is required by law or we state otherwise.
• Payment records and card handling are subject to Stripe’s retention and security practices.

Third Party Services

We rely on service providers that may process data on our behalf, including:

• Clerk — authentication and account sign-in
• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — email delivery
• Vercel — hosting and file storage
• Railway — database hosting
