Tools We Love

The tools we use and recommend for getting the most out of CertEngine and your AIA presentation workflow.

Optional: CSV outside CertEngine

The main path is uploading your sign-in sheet photo or PDF in CertEngine and confirming the extracted table. If you already prepare a CSV elsewhere, these assistants can help — columns should be Name | AIA Membership Number | Email. CSV remains a fallback, not the required intake.

Claude

Optional

Built by Anthropic. Strong at reading handwritten sheets if you prefer to build a CSV outside CertEngine before uploading.

ChatGPT

Optional

Built by OpenAI. Useful if you already use it to turn a scan into a three-column CSV, then upload that file as a fallback.

LinkedIn Connection Workflow

After each session, CertEngine gives you a one-click LinkedIn search for every attendee so you can send the connection request while you're still top of mind.

LinkedIn Premium (optional)

Optional — free tier works great

LinkedIn's free tier works with CertEngine's one-click attendee search — you still send the connection request yourself. If you do a high volume of presentations, LinkedIn Sales Navigator gives you advanced search and InMail capabilities — worth considering if you're presenting to 100+ architects per month.

PDF Scanning Apps

Scan your paper sign-in sheets to PDF on your phone before uploading to CertEngine.

Scanner Pro

iOS — Recommended

Our favorite iOS scanning app. Clean scans, excellent OCR, one-time purchase. Worth every penny for reps who present regularly.

Adobe Scan

iOS & Android — Free

Free and available on both iOS and Android. Reliable quality and integrates with Adobe's ecosystem.

iPhone Notes

Built into iPhone

Already on your iPhone. Open Notes, create a new note, tap the camera icon, and choose 'Scan Documents.' No download required.

Voice & Dictation

Hands-free data entry for reps who prefer to dictate.

Wispr Flow

Mac & PC

Dictate directly into any app on your Mac or PC. Handy for correcting confirm-table rows or filling course details hands-free. Free two-week trial available.
